Puliogare / Tamarind Rice.

Pulihora an authentic south indian recipe, Pulihora is the most preferred prasadam that be distributed across the temples in south India majorly.  Kids much enjoy this pulihora/puliogare rice recipe, and it can be taken as a brake fast in the morning time or as a snack item in the evening time.



Ingredients:
  • Cooked Rice – 600 gms
  • Cooking oil – 30 ml
  • Groudnuts-100 grsm
  • Dhania-50 grams
  • Jeera- 50 grams
  • Red chilly dry- 50 grams
  • Curry leaves- loose
  • Coriander leaves- loose
  • Salt- according to taste
  • Tamarind Juice- 50 grams
  • Turmeric Powder- 10 grams

Preparation

  • Keep the pan on the gas and add two tablespoons of cooking oil.
  • Once the pan heated, add dry chilli, dhania, ground nuts, coriander, jeera to the pan and stir them until they get brown.
  • Once the items got brown make them for cool for some time and make a powder in mixer grinder.
  • Keep the pan on the gas and add 50 grams of oil.
  • Once the pan is hot, add the grinded powder to the pan along with the tamarind juice.
  • Stir it properly, once it the mixer become think add 500 grams of boiled rice to pan along with the grinded powder and stir it well.
  • Serve hot
